Effect Of Papaya Seed Extract (Carica papaya L) Against Hatchability And Survivality Of Porbon Fish (Collosoma macropomum)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of papaya seed extract (Carica papaya L) on hatchability and survival of pomfret (Collosoma macropomum). The method used in this study is an experimental method with the experimental design used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications totaling 12 units. The doses used in this study were 0 ppm (control), 100 ppm, 150 ppm and 200 ppm. The test parameters observed were egg hatchability (HR), survival (SR) and water quality. The results showed a dose of 150 ppm (P3) showed a significant effect on the hatchability and survival of pomfret, where at a dose of 150 ppm (P3) gave the highest results on hatchability of eggs and survival of pomfret by 90% (HR) and 83% (SR).
