Inventarisasi Bakteri Patogen Pada Ikan Cupang (Betta Splendens) Di Desa Sigerongan Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat

Inventory Of Pathogenic Bacteria In Betta Splendens In Sigerongan Village Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency

Abstract

Ornamental fish is one of the commodities that are in great demand due to the beauty of color, good body shape and behavior that is different from other types of fish.  The development of ornamental fish farming in Indonesia has increased, one of which is betta. The main problem that betta fish farmers often face today is diseases, especially parasites and bacteria.  Thi researched aims to conduct an inventory of the types of pathogenic bacteria that attack betta fish in Desa Sigerongan Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency. This researched uses a survey method, by taking samples of betta fish with purposive sampling. The data was taken by the direction of the pond owner by paying attention to fish that have symptoms of insufficient appetite and slow movements. The data obtained were then tested using the following tests: 1) Oxidase Test, 2) Kastalase Test, 3) 3% KOH Test, 4) Triple Sugar Iron agar (TSIA), 5) Tolerance Test to Grams, 6) Motility Test, 7) Oxidative – Fermentative Test, 8) Lysine Decarboxylase Test, 9) Arginine dihydrolase Test, 10) Voges-Proskauer Test (VP), 11) Urea Hydrolysisn Test, 12) Gelatin Test, 13) Simmon Citrate Test, and 14) Confectionery Test.  The results of data analysis showed that there were three types of bacteria identified, namely Aeromonas hydrophila, Aeromonas eucrenophila, and Aeromonas schubertii. These three types of bacteria detected are the genus Aeromonas.
