Abstract

This study aims to look at the diversity of crustaceans in the coastal City of Mataram. The research was conducted by walking along the free beach which was divided into 4 stations. Data taken from this study are crustacean data and environmental supporting data (Temperature, Salinity, pH, and Tides). Data analysis includes diversity index (H'), evenness (E), and dominance (C). The results showed that the environmental parameters in the Mataram City coastal waters were relatively good for crustacean life. The catch obtained 918 crustacean individuals consisting of 7 species. Crustacean diversity on the coast of Mataram City as a whole is in the low category. Based on the diversity index criteria <2.0 is classified as low. The overall evenness index is in a small category with a depressed community (<0.50). The dominance index at each station <0.75 ≤1 means that there are no species that dominate the community
