Abstract

Clown fish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is a type of ornamental seawater fish that has great potential, because it is in great demand by the public and has high economic value and is a superior commodity. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of different types of feed on the growth and brightness of the color of clown fish (Amphiprion ocellaris). The study was designed using a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 3 tests, namely P1 (10% pellet feeding treatment), P2 (Tubifex sp. 10%), P3 (Artemia sp. 10%), and P4 (Rotifer sp. 10%). Color brightness is analyzed using Toca Color Finder paper. The clown fish fry used have a weight range of 0.32-0.53 g and a length of 2.5 cm which are stocked on containers with a volume of 10 liters for 28 days. The results of the best treatment study for growth in P2 obtained an average weight of 0.006 g.day-1 and an average length of 0.02 cm.day-1. The results of the study of the best treatment for color brightness at P3 and P4 obtained a color level of 27 (red).
