The Effect Of The Difference In The Operating Time Of Drift Nets (Drift Gillnet) On The Catch Of Lemuru Fish (Sardinella lemuru) In The Waters Of Tanjung Luar, Keruak District, East Lombok Regency

Abstract

Lemuru fish (Sardinella lemuru) is one of the fish resources that has important economic value in Indonesia. One type of fishing gear used by Tanjung Luar fishermen to catch lemuru fish is a drift gillnet. This study was conducted to determine the effect of the difference in operating time of drift gillnets on the catch of lemuru fish (Sardinella lemuru) and the magnitude of the comparison value of receipt and production costs used during the operation time of drifting gillnet fishing gear.  The data analysis used was a T-test difference test used to determine two unrelated samples having different average values by comparing the difference between the two average values with the standard error of the difference between the average two samples and the B/C Ratio to determine the magnitude of the comparison value of receipts and production costs used.  Based on the results of the T-test analysis of the total weight of the catch (day and night) shows a difference in catches during the day and night (kg and tail). Obtained p value (P Value) 0.01097 > (ɑ = 0.05). By the total amount of weight and tail at night it is higher at 13.8 kg or 1647 heads compared to the catch during the day 3.18 kg or 389 heads. The lemuru fishing business in Tanjung Luar Waters using drift gillnets is not feasible to run because the results of the B/C ratio analysis day and night < 1.
